Critics:
' Guilaume SUTRE, leader of the Ysaÿe Quartet, gave a magnificent account with Rogé of the variations (F. Chopin) on « non più mesta » from Rossini's Cenerentala; and Lisy gave a penetrating reading with Rogé of the Cello Sonata, with a beautifully sung Largo. Finally, all three combined for the early Trio : The string playing was delicious, especially in the charming Scherzo, which was encored. When played like this, the work sounds like a masterpiece. '
Tullly Potter, the Strad – October 2006
'A String Quartet which chooses its name according to the big violinist Eugène Ysaÿe? We do not show ourselves surprised if it allows the 1st violin a light superiority, and especially when this position is splendidly assumed by Guillaume Sutre. ''
GENERAL-ANZEIGER BONN - September 2005
' We can only admire the youth of spirit and the vigour with which these fabulous two soloists deceive the romanticism charmingly agreed of the Concerto for violin, viola and orchestra (M. Bruch). Spectacular, of a rubato and a legato very operatic, the playing of Da Silva and Sutre becomes literally bewitching in the more intimist works, that they stand out with an elegant nostalgia
Eric Dahan, Libération - February 2002
' It is with the radiant serenity that they venture in Mozart (the variations of the Duet No. 2 are a model of fantasia); as for their stay at Haydn, for pages hardly little known, which confirms their sophisticated elegance, to which is added a friendly dynamism. Two hours of chamber music for a delighted public who does not hide his enjoyment. '
Le Figaro – 2001
' We had finally the Concertante about which we dreamed some hours later with a magnificent Orchestra of Poitou-Charente (who confirms as one of the best), leads by Christophe Coin, and both members of the Quartet Ysaÿe, Guillaume Sutre and Miguel Da Silva. This time, everything was there, lyric, flow, dynamics, at the same time grosso concerto and chamber music. '
Marie-Aude Roux, Le Monde – January 2002
' A start so lightning is hardly conceivable: from the first seconds the concert hall was plunged into a supreme tone… It is not current to listen a set of such a sound homogeneity, in Vienna nevertheless filled with string quartets. '
